How is your body supposed to move during sex?

I'm a virgin for now, but that could change really soon. And before I have sex, I really don't know how to do it. I know what it is basically, the penis goes into the vagina, but how is me and the girls body supposed to move. I mean, do I just move my thighs up and down on top of her, do I hold her body to support myself? I was just wondering.
